Compliance Status: Under continuous update, compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines

Compliance Status

We firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to everyone, and we are committed to providing a website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability.

To achieve this, we aim to adhere as closely as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at AA level.

These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. Conforming to these guidelines helps us ensure that the website is accessible to people who are blind, have motor disabilities, visual impairments, cognitive disabilities, and more.

This website uses various technologies designed to make it as accessible as possible at all times. We use an accessibility interface that allows people with specific disabilities to adjust the website's user interface (UI) and adapt it to their personal needs.

Additionally, the site uses an AI-based application that operates in the background and constantly optimizes the level of accessibility.

This application corrects the site's HTML code, adapts functionalities and behavior for screen readers used by blind users, and for keyboard functions used by people with motor disabilities.

Screen Reader and Keyboard Navigation

Our website implements the Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes technique, along with several behavioral modifications, to ensure that blind users visiting the site with screen readers can correctly read, understand, and use the site's functionalities.

As soon as a screen reader user enters the site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen Reader Profile, so they can effectively navigate and operate the site.

Here's how our site covers some of the most important requirements for screen readers:

1) Screen reader optimization:

  • We perform a process that analyzes site components from top to bottom, to ensure continuous compliance even during site updates.
  • In this process, we provide meaningful data to screen readers via ARIA attributes.
  • For example, we provide accurate labels for forms; descriptions for interactive icons (social icons, search, cart, etc.); validation indications for form fields; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (pop-ups), and others.

In addition, the background process analyzes all images on the site.

  • It provides an accurate and meaningful description based on object recognition of images, to be used as ALT tags (alternative text) for images not already described.
  • It also extracts text embedded in images using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology.

To activate screen reader adjustments at any time, users simply need to press the Alt+1 key combination.

Screen reader users also receive automatic announcements to activate Screen Reader mode as soon as they enter the site.

These adaptations are compatible with major screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

2) Keyboard navigation optimization:
The background process also adjusts the site's HTML and adds behaviors via JavaScript code to make the site operable via keyboard. This includes:

  • Navigation with Tab and Shift+Tab keys.
  • Operating dropdown menus with arrow keys and closing them with Esc.
  • Activating buttons and links with the Enter key.
  • Navigating between radio elements and checkboxes with arrow keys and selecting them with Space or Enter.

Furthermore, keyboard users can use "skip content" menus available at any time by pressing Alt+2, or as the first element of the site during keyboard navigation.

The background process also handles activated pop-ups, automatically shifting keyboard focus to them as soon as they appear, preventing focus from being lost outside.

Users can also use shortcuts to jump to specific elements: “M” (menu), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), “G” (graphics).

Additional Interface, Design, and Readability Adjustments

  • Font adjustments
    • Users can increase or decrease text size, change font type, adjust spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
  • Color adjustments
    • Users can select contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, or monochrome.
    • They can also change the colors of headings, text, and backgrounds by choosing from more than seven coloring options.
  • Animations
    • Epileptic users can stop all ongoing animations with one click.
    • This includes videos, GIFs, and flashing CSS transitions.
  • Content highlighting
    • Users can emphasize essential elements like links and headings.
    • It is possible to choose to highlight only focused or hovered elements.
  • Audio deactivation
    • Useful for those who use hearing devices and might be bothered by automatic audio.
    • This option allows the entire site to be muted instantly.
  • Cognitive disorders
    • A search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary is available, which allows understanding the meanings of phrases, initialisms, slang, and more.
  • Additional functions
    • Change cursor color and size, use a print mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

Compatibility with Assistive Technologies and Browsers

We aim to support as many browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so users can choose the most suitable tools with the fewest limitations.

We have worked to support all major systems covering over 95% of the user market, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera, Microsoft Edge, JAWS, and NVDA, on both Windows and Mac.

Notes, Comments, and Feedback

Despite our best efforts to enable everyone to adapt the site to their needs, there may be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are undergoing adaptation, or lack an adequate technological solution.

However, we are continuously improving accessibility, adding, updating, and refining options and functionalities, and developing or adopting new technologies, with the goal of achieving the highest possible level of accessibility.
